On May 25, 2018, the Personal Data Protection Ordinance (also referred to as the Ordinance or RODO) came into force, which introduces rules for the processing of personal data that are harmonized across the European Union. In accordance with the forementioned Regulation, we would like to inform you about the data processing rules and your rights that apply from May 25, 2018.

For the purposes of the services offered at g-still.com (hereinafter also: the Service or the Site), we may collect and process – depending on the service and your will – the following data:

  • Information related to the account established on the Site
  • Transactional data, related to the services and products offered on the Site
  • Technical data, such as IP address, browser parameters and device used
  • Information related to cookies, used by the Service and our partners

Personal data is not generated solely during the user’s interaction with the Site. Personal data is also generated as side effects of technical processes such as contact forms, comments, cookies, statistics systems or embedded material from external sites.

Providing this data is voluntary (sometimes it may require you to change the settings of your browser or the device you are using), but may be required to use the Site, or particular services.

This data is processed and collected for the services we offer, such as:

  • Sending the WebInsider.pl Newsletter
  • Comments left by users on the Service
  • Feedback contact from the contact form
  • Processing orders related to the purchase of products and services offered on the Website

Data for this purpose will be processed on the basis of Article 6(1)(a) of the Regulation (EU) 2016/679 of the European Parliament and of the Council of 27 April 2016 on the protection of natural persons with regard to the processing of personal data and on the free movement of such data and repealing Directive 95/46/EC (RODO).

Comments

When a site visitor leaves a comment, we collect the data visible in the comment form, as well as the visitor’s IP address and browser signature as an aid to spam detection.

An anonymized string created from your email address (the so-called hash) can be sent to the Gravatar service to verify that you are using it. The Gravatar service’s privacy policy is available here: https://automattic.com/privacy/. Once your comment is approved, your profile picture is publicly visible in the context of your comment.

Contact forms

Information submitted via contact forms is stored for customer service purposes indefinitely, but is not used for marketing purposes.

Cookies

If you leave a comment on our site, you will be able to choose to save your name, email address and website address in cookies, so that when you write further comments the above information will already be conveniently completed. These cookies expire after one year.

If you have an account and log in to this site, we will create a temporary cookie for the purpose of verifying that your browser accepts cookies. This cookie does not contain any personal information and will be discarded when you close your browser.

When you log in, we additionally create several cookies needed to save your login information and selected screen options. The login cookies expire after two days and the screen options after one year. If you check the “Remember me” option, the login expires after two weeks. If you log out of your account, your login cookies will be deleted.

If you modify or publish an article, an additional cookie will be stored in your browser. This cookie does not contain any personal information, simply pointing to the ID of the article you have just edited. It expires after 1 day.

Additional cookies may be generated by external entities whose services we use on the Website, such as social media, statistics systems, payment systems.

Embedded content from other sites

Articles on this site may contain embedded content (e.g. videos, images, articles, etc.). Embedded content from other sites behaves analogously to if you visited a specific site directly.

These sites may collect information about you, use cookies, attach additional third-party tracking systems, and monitor your interactions with the embedded material, including tracking your interactions with the embedded material if you have an account and are logged into that site.

Statistics systems

We use analytics tools on the site to, among other things, collect statistics for related site activity, such as:

Management of data processing

Data will be stored until consent for processing is withdrawn. The data subject has the right to access the content of his/her personal data, as well as the right to rectification, erasure, restriction of processing, the right to data portability, the right to object, the right to withdraw consent at any time without affecting the lawfulness of processing carried out on the basis of consent before its withdrawal. In order to exercise the rights, the data subject may send a relevant message to the email address provided herein.

If you leave a comment, its content and metadata will be stored indefinitely. This allows us to recognize and approve subsequent comments automatically, without sending them for moderation each time.

For users who have registered on our website (if any), we also store the personal information entered in the profile. Any user can review, correct or delete their personal information at any time (except for their username, which cannot be changed). Site administrators can also view and modify this information.

If you have a user account or have added comments on this site, you may request a file with an exported set of your personal information in our possession, including all of that provided by you. You may also request that we delete the entirety of your personal data in our possession. This does not apply to any data that we are obliged to retain for administrative, legal or security reasons.
